FIVE HEARTS

Tuesday Knight is a princess.  At least she plays one at Everland.  And like any fairy tale princess she can make magic.  And even though she never seems to make it on time to where she’s going, she manages to get there and eventually works her magic.  At least for other people.  For herself, not so much.  But that doesn’t stop her from doing her best for those she cares for most.  And with Everland in the running for the Costal Jewel, she’s determined to put her best foot forward. But it’s not all that easy…not when her biggest obstacle is Everland’s mayor, Beau Marino.

Beau isn’t an ogre.  Well, maybe…not an ogre in the classic sense.  After all, he’s not ugly.  Not at all.  In fact, Everland’s prince is quite handsome.  And he’s not without tragedy in his life.  With the loss of his young wife, Beau has closed off his heart to letting anyone else in.  Not even a fairy tale princess.

Beau sees things in black and white.  Facts are fact and magic doesn’t exist.  While he’d love to have the costal jewel designation, he is a realist and Happily Ever After Land isn’t going to do it.  Or will it?

Can a man who only sees the box come together with a woman who sees beyond the box and save a town?  And more important, can they find their way to each other?

I enjoyed IT HAPPENED ON LOVE STREET, book 1 of Lia Riley’s Everland, Georgia series.  It was a good read.  Her latest, ON THE CORNER OF FOREVER AND ALWAYS was one of my best reads of this year.  What a fantastic story.  It was one of those books you just can’t put down and at the same time you want to slow down because you just don’t want the story to end.

I fell in love with Beau the first time he appeared in the story.  He is a buttoned up hero the breaks your heart when you find out why he is so stuffy.  While Tuesday reaches out to grab life with both hands, Beau does his best to shove it away.  That makes for amazing chemistry between the two that plays out in a really fun story.

Ma Hogg is a piece of work, but an entertaining one.  And Magda!  OMG!  What a fun character.  It sounded like their stories may have ended, but I hope they are back in future books.  As secondary characters they add some fun scenes to the book.

Readers catch up a bit with Pepper and Rhett from IT HAPPENED ON LOVE STREET in ON THE CORNER OF FOREVER AND ALWAYS, but each book is a standalone read.  ON THE CORNER OF FOREVER AND ALWAYS is a must read if you are looking for great characters, a terrific story and some fun laughs.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
